Te Mata Peak Woodland Paradise
This elevated resort holiday paradise in the hills of Te Mata Peak is a stunning property with extensive decking overlooking private woodlands.
The architecturally designed north west facing character home is built over seven levels on a sloping site. The property catches all day sun and has stunning views out over Havelock North, Hastings, the Heretaunga plains and to the Kaweka Ranges beyond, with a sneak peak of Mt Ruapehu to the west and the ocean to the east. Just stunning!
The property is part way up Te Mata Peak, a National Park with famous walks and mountain biking tracks, and is just moments away from Havelock North village. Hastings is a 10 minute drive away and Napier a 20 minute drive away.
The property offers two bedrooms, one full bathroom and another separate upstairs loo. There is a fully equipped laundry with washing machine and dryer.
The roomy kitchen, separate dining room and the elevated living areas all flow effortlessly out to extensive decking and verandas with a pergola, a daybed and a spa pool providing a resort holiday paradise.
Two bedrooms are offered with this house, one equipped with a queen bed and one with a double. Both beds are comfortable and have a range of pillows supplied, all linen is supplied and wardrobe space is available for your belongings.
There is one fully equipped bathroom with an excellent shower over a purpose built shower bath. There are two toilets, one in the downstairs bathroom and one upstairs near the living areas with its own hand basin.
The house catches its own water and there is a filtered tap provided in the kitchen as well as water from the Hastings town supply or boxed water for drinking. The tank water is filtered and is fine for washing, teeth brushing and showering. We request you do not wash cars or leave hoses running and only use the water for normal domestic tasks.
The paddocks beside the property are home to a herd of domestic goats and seven chickens. You can feed these critters your food scraps if you wish. The paddocks are steep so we advise you don't venture into them. While the goats are not wild and several of them are very friendly, there is still a risk of an accidental knock from a pair of horns in their haste to eat your offerings, so its best to just throw the food over to them.
There are very happy chickens fossicking in the paddocks and you are welcome to collect and consume their eggs from their luxury chicken house in exchange for your food scraps,
There are four security cameras operating at the property, all outside. These cameras are not monitored. The recordings save to a hard drive at the house and so they can be viewed if there is a security breach of any kind. So far the only breach has been by a possum, which has now been dispatched.
